I'll Go Up Shouting

This old journey that Iíve traveled

Has gone through valleys down here below

But just over another hilltop

I might see my final goal

When I go, Iíll go up shouting

When itís time to leave this world below

When He calls me I will answer

Iíll go up shouting, as I go

Iíll keep working, while Iím living

Serving Jesus, the best I know

But my bags are, packed and ready

So when He calls me, I will go

Scripture: Thessalonians 4:16, 17 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And so shall we be with the Lord forever.

Tell the Storm How Big Your God Is

Donít tell God how big your storm is

He knows just what youíre going through

But tell the storm how big your God is

And see what God will do for you

My friend I donít know what you may be facing

Your problem may seem like a raging storm

But I know someone whoís bigger than your problem

And whoís able to protect you from all harm

Thereís nothing that you canít take to the Master

Thereís nothing thatís too hard for him to solve

So donít look at the size of your problem

Just look at the size of your God

Scripture: Matt 6:8 . . . for your Father knows what you need before you ask him

Old Black Leather Covered Book

My daddy was the kindest man Iíve ever seen

But I found out that he didnít start that way

He said there was a time when he was drunk and mean

So I asked him what it was that made him change

He said I reached the bottom and I realized

There was no where any lower I could go

But when I fell down, thatís when I fell down on my knees

And in the bottom of the bookshelf I saw the answer to my need

It was an old, black leather covered book

That changed my life for all time

Thatís where I read about the love of Jesus

And found salvation there in every line

That old black leather covered book

Means more to me than anything I own

For that Bible has become my daily guide

And the foundation that I base my life upon

Now my life has had its share of joy and pain

And Iíve had some trials along the way

But Iíve made it a daily habit

To read that old Bible and pray

Now the words are all underlined

And the pages are tattered and worn

But I found the more I wear that old book out

The better off my life is in the Lord

Scripture: Psalms 119:105 Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path

Mercy Runs Deeper

If you think you have drifted too far from the shore

And God doesnít listen to your prayers anymore

Just lift up your eyes and see Jesus who stands

Heís reaching out to take hold of your hand

Mercy runs deeper than the deepest sea

Grace reaches further than you could ever flee

And love paid the ransom for you and for me

Mercy runs deeper than the deepest sea

If your heart has grown weary as you travel lifeís road

And your spirit is troubled with a heavy load

Just call upon Jesus heíll walk by your side

Heíll lift your burden and his peace heíll provide

Scripture: Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Jailhouse Revival

Down at the jailhouse in the middle of the night

Paul & Silas were locked up tight

Could a been discouraged or in despair

But instead they were singing and praising God in prayer

It was a jailhouse revival, an old time meeting

Preaching & praying, shouting & singing

The mighty power of God made the whole place tremble

And souls were set free at the jailhouse revival

Now the chains came off and the doors swung wide

But no one hurried to run outside

All of the convicts and the jailer too

Said I want to be born again so what must I do

Now if it seems that life has you bound

Donít be discouraged you can praise God anyhow

If Paul and Silas could sing behind the bars

You can have a revival anywhere you are

Scripture: Acts 16:25, 29, 30 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them . . . The jailer . . asked, ďSirs, what must I do to be saved?Ē

What Kind of Love Was Poured Out for Me

What kind of love would make a king leave his throne

Lay aside his glory just to wear a crown of thorns

Instead of praise hear mocking as he wore an old purple robe

And receive false accusations but never answer a word

What kind of love was poured out for me

When Godís own blood flowed down at Calvary

He was a priceless sacrifice for me

What kind of love was poured out at Calvary

What kind of love would bring Jesus to say

Father not my will be done but yours I pray

Knowing that it meant the cross, to die for sinful man

Then he even forgave the ones who drove the nails into his hands

Scripture: John 15:13 Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Another Drink From the Fountain

Iíll have another drink from the (life giving) fountain

Iíll have another drink from the (everlasting) well

Iíll have another drink from the Rock of Ages

Where the water is flowing still

One day when I was so thirsty

Feeling about to die

Jesus offered me water

From a well that never runs dry

Come, everyone whoís thirsty

Drink and be satisfied

This water is flowing freely

With everlasting life

Scripture: John 4:14 ďBut whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.  Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.Ē

Brand New Story

I heard an old story about a Savior from Glory

And how he died on Calvary to save my soul from sin

But when I received him as my Lord and Savior

That old fashioned story became brand new again

Now itís a brand new story since I met Jesus

Thereís a brand new feeling down in my soul

Iíve got a brand new life that is here with in me

Iíve got a brand new story since I met the Lord

Now my life has been redeemed my soul has been reborn

My heart has been changed from what it was before

And Iíve been filled with the Spirit until Iíve overflowed

So I know itís more than a story cause itís real in my soul

Scripture: Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new

The Cross Marks the Spot

Oh I heard the preacher call, saying come surrender all

Jesus died for your soul at Calvary

So I walked the aisle and went to the altar to repent

And there while I knelt I was set free

Oh the cross marks the spot where I made a new start

And my soul was so wondrously saved

Oh the cross marks the place where I found amazing grace

And my burdens were all rolled away

If you ask me to tell what it was that I felt

In my heart as I knelt at that old cross

As I prayed the sinnerís prayer Jesus came to meet me there

And placed joy beyond compare deep in my heart

Scripture: Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

New Song in Glory

Someday when all Godís children are finally gathered home

Weíll stand upon the riverbank just before the throne

Oh then weíll lift our voices and heavenís court will ring

With the anthem of the ages that only we can sing

Weíll sing a new song in Glory thatís never yet been sung

It will be the testimony of those whoíve overcome

The story of salvation and Godís amazing grace

When we sing a new song in Glory on our redemption day

God will ask the angel choir to kindly stand aside

And listen to the song of the redeemed whoíve just arrived

The angels will stand silent for they can never sing

About the joy of cancelled sin that our salvation brings

Scripture: Revelation 14:3  And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders.  No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

Put it in the Master's Hand

Jesus was preaching, the day was long

The hungry crowd was five thousand strong

The disciples wanted to send them away

But Jesus said you will feed them today

Well they had no money to pay for a feast

They said a manís wages wouldnít buy just a taste

But Jesus said go and see what you have

So they borrowed a little boyís fishes and bread

And they put it in the Masterís hand

And saw the miracle heíd planned

It was more than enough with Jesusí touch

When they put it in the Masterís hand

Jesus said go to all the world

And tell the Good News in my name

But I cried oh Lord, please send someone else

Iím afraid I have nothing to bring

He said youíve been given something I can use

So go and see what you have

Your little will be way more than enough

When you put it in the Masterís hand

Scripture: Matt 14:17-18 Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." "We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered. "Bring them here to me," he said.

The Spirit and the Bride Say Come

The Root and the Offspring of David

The Bright and the Morning Star

The one who is called Faithful and True

Says surely I am coming soon

And the Spirit and the bride say come

And those who hear say come

Let all who are thirsty come

And drink freely of the water of life

He says: Behold I am coming quickly

And my reward is with me

No more will you grieve or cry

For Iíll wipe every tear from your eye

Blessed are those who are doing

His commandments, that they may have the right

To enter through the gates into the city

And eat from the tree of life

Scripture: All the lyrics of this song are from Revelation 19:11, 21:4, and 22:12-20.
